NEED – Cover Reveal

Sunday, March 24th, 2013

I know I’m late but I still NEED to show you this fabulous cover…

**Yes, you may groan, that was bad**

I loved Stephanie Lawton’s predecessor WANT and am really looking forward to reading NEED.  However, readers need to know that NEED is not YA/NA – it is very much an adult read…

And since I’m an adult, yay for me!

Need

By Stephanie Lawton

Published by Inkspell Publishing

Release date: May 17, 2013

Synopsis:

Isaac Laroche is cursed. All he wants to do is hide out and feel sorry for himself. Never mind that he got caught sleeping with his seventeen-year-old piano student, or that he abandoned her when the truth was exposed.

Isaac’s feisty high school sweetheart has different plans. Heather Swann has returned to their hometown of Mobile, Alabama, to regroup after breaking up with her troll of a fiancé. She’s restless and looking for a diversion, but she bites off more than she can chew when she sets her sights on rehabilitating Isaac with her unorthodox sexual, mental, and physical plans.

The two quickly reconnect, but their happiness is threatened by family secrets, old vendettas and the death of a beloved father-figure.

Can Heather handle Isaac’s baggage, or will her own come back to haunt them both?

Author’s Bio:

After collecting a couple English degrees in the Midwest, Stephanie Lawton suddenly awoke in the deepest reaches of the Deep South. Culture shock inspired her to write about Mobile, Alabama, her adopted city, and all the ways Southern culture, history and attitudes seduce the unsuspecting.

A lover of all things gothic, she can often be spotted photographing old cemeteries, historic buildings and, ironically, the beautiful beaches of the Gulf Coast. She also has a tendency to psychoanalyze people, which comes in handy when creating character profiles.

COVER REVEAL: A Need So Insatiable

Friday, February 15th, 2013

Book blurb

“I’ve never bowed or kneeled for anyone,” Rafael said. “Never thought I would.” Then he was on his knees. He slid his arms around my waist, tugging me closer and bowed his head.

“You own me, Sophie.” He looked up, his dark eyes hitting me with enough force to snatch the breath from my lungs. “You’ve owned me from the moment I walked into your life in that music room. Then I saw you slipping out the window like the wolves were after you and I knew I wanted you in my life. You’ve wrapped yourself in my heart and mind. I can’t get you out. I don’t want to.”

Graduate opera singer, Sophie Fisher’s life is on fire and it’s not her breathtaking voice lighting it, but the trail of debts her father left behind after he passed away a few months ago. If she’s not ducking around corners or slipping out of windows to escape the debt collectors and a slew of characters sent from hell, she’s dealing with her rebellious fifteen-year-old sister, Lilli, who is still coming to terms with their father’s death. And as if that’s not enough, Rafael Van Rees bursts into her life—literally—bringing with him a set of emotions she isn’t prepared to deal with and a life the public had no idea of.

Rafael Van Rees, Maestro extraordinaire, just wants to be left in peace to date whichever woman he feels like, have dinner with whomever he feels like, and just enjoy his life. Until he meets Sophie and his past returns to haunt him. And just when he thought he didn’t care about her, his history proves him wrong. He knows when it comes to her, it’s all or nothing. Besides, she makes him feel fuzzy all over.

Is Sophie’s fire hot enough to melt the ice coursing through his veins?

Happy Book Birthday HOLLYWOOD HOLIDAY!

Friday, December 7th, 2012

This week has been pretty monumental for me. I went from being author of two books to FOUR books!!! Yep = BIG week.

Today I get to introduce you to my fourth book baby, a contemporary Hollywood romance that I loved writing….

The Blurb:

All she wants for Christmas is for Hollywood to love her again. But once she meets him, her Christmas list changes.

Jen’s only Christmas wish: Hollywood falling back in love with her. Meeting ex-Marine Gunner was a bonus. She likes that he isn’t impressed by celebrities or the movie biz. She likes that he’s funny and sweet … and drop-dead gorgeous. And she loves that he has no idea who her alter-ego is: Jen Fleming, Hollywood bad-girl and paparazzi target number one. Why ruin an amazing affair when he’s leaving after the new year?

But the closer they get, the harder she falls, and the more she wants to tell Gunner everything. Especially once he shares his secret with her.

Her new Christmas wish: Gunner accepts and loves her for who she really is.

Introducing my ‘book baby’…

Sunday, April 1st, 2012

I’m so excited I can hardly stand it. Writing stories makes me so happy. Knowing they’re going out to be shared with the rest of the world makes me giddy (and a little nauseous ;) ).

Seeing them all wrapped up in a gorgeous shiny cover? Best Day Ever.

Yes – I KNOW! Isn’t it lovely? *sigh* I’m deliriously excited about it – Love love the whole look and feel!

Look what my publisher said on the webpage:

When our editors read Hollywood Ever After, they got goosebumps. While one blushed scarlet whenever she recalled the sexy hero of the book, the other headed to the tissue box to wipe off the happy tears. So, when it was time to design this book’s cover, ALL jumped in! And today, we will reveal it to you! But first a bit more about the awesome romance story that would unravel itself on 21st July, 2012. You can read it on the release day by pre-ordering it today!!

:)

For a sneak peek at what’s behind the lovely cover, the super quick book trailer is HERE.

Tagline: She wasn’t meant for movie stars, Hollywood, or happy endings. And then she met him.

Pen Name Dilemma…

Wednesday, February 8th, 2012

I’m thrilled to share that my contemporary romance, Compass, has received an offer of publication (more details will follow soon)!

But now I’m facing a dilemma.

Will the readers of Medusa and Hades, (lyrical, fantasy romance series with appropriate levels of romance and steaminess)  be the same readers of Compass (modern, funny, intensely sensual romance)?

Possibly, but not necessarily. The last thing I want to do is chase away readers, right? It’s frustrating to pick up a book excepting one thing and finding its pages contain something completely different.

Sometimes it’s a pleasant surprise, sometimes it’s NOT!

Successful authors like Jo Davis/J.D Tyler, Liz Lipperman/Liz Roth, Tessa Adams/Tracy Wolff, and even Nora Roberts/JD Robb use different names for different genres. Readers then know what they’re getting, the pen name steers them in the right direction. Obviously, I’m not balancing the success of these authors – but I’m hoping to get there soon!

Please share your thoughts on this…

Should I have a seperate Pen Name for my contemporary romances??

If you think I need one, what do you think of Alex Summers.

Why Alex? Well – Sasha is Russian for Alexander AND Alex was my nickname (I hated Sasha) through Middle School and part of High School… So that’s why :)

 And Thank You!!!!
