Friday night my husband and I had a date. We ventured to the movie theater (i know, a shock!) and watched True Grit and Season of the Witch. True Grit was okay – very one dimensional with an ending that left you wanting something more satisfying. We will not discuss Season of the Witch…
Saturday meant DARA time! I love this group of ladies and the motivation these meetings provide. This weeked was interesting – Corinne Kenner came to talk to us about using Tarot cards for story development. It was a FUN meeting. I can see how they might be useful when you’re stumped. But, generally, I know what my story is going’s journey will be before I sit down.
And then I found out I finaled in the GOTCHA competition, offered through Silicon Valley RWA. I’m totally giddy about this! I entered this story for feedback –
I have to say I’m pretty pleased with the results.
Finally, I finished another Julia Quinn novel – ‘The Secret Diaries of Miranda Cheever’ And I LOVE Julia Quinn! She makes me happy in a warm-fuzzy kind of way. Thank you for that Julia!

Oooh, you’re a Julia Quinn novel ahead of me. I haven’t read SECRET DIARIES yet. So many books, so little time.
Speaking of books, I have a YA I just finished that I think you’ll love. It’s called ANNA AND THE FRENCH KISS. It’s contemporary – no vampires or werewolves or fairies or anything – and I LOVED it! Your post reminded me of it because the MC, Anna, loves movies and keeps a blog where she writes reviews. Plus, the love interest is to-die-for and the book makes you feel like you’re in Paris.
Let me know if you want me to bring it to… well, whereever we are the next time we get together.
Yes Please. I need to return Prowl and I’ll let you borrow Secret Diaries, if you like!
I hope you’re up to this week – but don’t push it!
