Friday FUN and GIVEAWAY!!!

March 8th, 2013 by Sasha

I’m going to give away a copy of one of my books (winner’s choice) to the person who shares their all time favorite book and WHY…

I need to ‘feel’ the why people. :)

One of my favorite books? 1984

I know, it’s a dark, scary, pseudo-mental novel, but those are the kind of books I really like. I like to think and feel deeply when I read. And this book does both for me. I was depressed for two solid weeks after I read it the first time. I don’t get quite so down in the dumps now. A strange sense of satisfaction has taken its place.

What about you? I’m not particular about the genre, just what the book is and why?

Here’s hoping we get some great books to add to our TBR list! :)

I have so many favorites books! It’s like asking a mother which child she loves best! I loved Song for Sophia by Moriah Densley, it’s was so romantic!

Naming one book is just too hard. I have fallen in love with the Outlander Series by Diana Gabaldon. It takes it forever when waiting for a new book, but its totally worth it! I have to agree with Nicole too, its great to discover new-to-me authors, and I love sharing them with all my friends, cause with out them, I wouldn’t know about half the authors I do now.

I’ve never read Song for Sophia – will have to put it on my TBR list! :)

LOVE LOVE LOVE the Outlander Series! The way she weaves such rich snippets of history so seamlessly into her stories *sigh*!

Oh, picking one all-time favorite out of all my favorites? SO HARD. But right now, I’d have to say Hopeless by Colleen Hoover takes the top. I have never been so invested in one book before. At one point, I was bawling my eyes out and then laughing in the next page. It took me on a roller coaster ride as I read what the characters went through. It’s one of the best books I’ve ever read. This book will forever hold a special place in my heart, and so will Holder. <3

My all time favorite book? Ugh, I don’t know if I can pick ONE! I really liked Interview With The Vampire, because I could really feel Louis’ pain when he lost Claudia. I cried for days. That book also sparked me the desire to write my own vampire stories!

Congrats with the series! I remember being deeply moved by that as well…

I think my current favorite (it changes regularly) is Life of Pi, by Yann Martel. Philosophy of religion meets adventure meets one helluva post-modern ending! Love it! They did an amazing job on the film too, but, as always, the book is better.

Haven’t read it or scene the movie yet but I want to. :)
