My A Galactic Holiday antho sister has a New Release! She’s here to share a little inside scoop and all the details! Thanks so much for being here Anna – take it away!!
3 Actors I’d Love to see in Soul Stealer
We’ve all heard of the infamous Hollywood casting couch…where the powerful movie moguls take advantage of the young actors trying to make a name for themselves. Some say the casting couch launched the careers of Judy Garland, Ava Gardner and Marilyn Monroe.
Well, I’m not using that casting couch, but today I’d thought I’d step into the role of casting expert and select the actors who’d star in the movie adaption of my latest release, SOUL STEALER. Seemed appropriate since I’m visiting my antho-sister, Sasha on her blog – author of the fabulous Red Carpet series! And if someone ever does buy the movie rights for SOUL STEALER, I’ll be prepared!
So, my book is packed full of action, romance, with a little dash of X-Men, a heroine addicted to killing and a smart, sexy scientist hero. Now, let’s get started:
Cate Hartmann: Cate’s a schoolteacher with a slim build and blonde hair cut short. She’s also a soul stealer, a human with a mutated gene that lets her literally suck the soul out of someone. She’s been through a rough time and is trying to get over her soul stealing addiction.
Two actresses who come to mind are Carey Mulligan (from Pride and Prejudice and Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps) or Emma Watson (Hermione from Harry Potter but grown up with her hair cut short). They both have that air of innocence Cate has.
Take a look here and you decide:
Potential Cate #1 – Carey – http://pinterest.com/pin/182818066094558366/
Potential Cate #2 – Emma – http://pinterest.com/pin/152911349819236649/
Dr. Gage Walker: Gage is genius smart, slightly nerdy and dedicated to his work studying and helping anomalies. He’s also determined to help Cate heal. To play Gage I’m going with James McAvoy (Atonement and younger Charles Xavier in X-Men), I think he’s got it all to pull off a hunky but smart doctor and he was in X-Men, so it’s meant to be!
Check James out here http://pinterest.com/pin/163537030188529120/ He just needs some glasses and a labcoat!
Hmm, no idea why all these actors are British…but there you go. So lovely readers of Sasha’s blog, if any of you have a preference for which actress should get the role of Cate, then let me know!

After being kidnapped and forced to kill by a vicious crime lord, Cate Hartmann is now a killer with an addiction to stealing souls. On the island sanctuary of Haven, surrounded by other anomalies with secret abilities, she fights to recover. But only one man calms the dark storm inside and makes her believe she can be whole again…Dr. Gage Walker.
Scientist Gage Walker has spent a decade helping anomalies. But every day, he’s haunted by his previous job for the CIA—where he crossed far too many boundaries and hurt so many anomalies. Including his brother. He vows he won’t fail again and will do everything he can to heal Cate—including fighting his attraction to her.
But when the crime lord comes after Cate again, it’s a race against time to find out why he wants her. Amidst the danger, Gage and Cate drawn to each other, even as they fear that one wrong step will send her hurtling back into the depths of her soul stealing addiction.
